Just Shorn wool carpet rolls out across New Zealand

New Zealand’s Just Shorn wool carpet brand has begun to roll out locally, launching with a new range specifically designed and selected for the New Zealand market.

Owned by Carrfields Primary Wool (CP Wool), Just Shorn is distributed by CCA Global Partners in North America where the brand has a significant footprint. Just Shorn is distributed in Australia via flooring retailer Carpet One and exclusively in New Zealand by Harrisions Carpet One.

Having only been in the local market for three weeks, initial sales of Just Shorn have been strong. “We have had remarkable success with Just Shorn in Australia and whilst it is early days, we are tracking well in New Zealand,” said CP Wool Chairman, Howie Gardner. “It is pleasing to have Just Shorn now available locally – it has been our goal from the start to have Just Shorn sold in New Zealand. For everyone involved, we feel as though we are finally bringing home a family member and returning to our roots,” he said.

Despite wool carpet sales diminishing for many years in the North American market, the Just Shorn brand has been well received. “After a market review, our North American focus is to refine our range with emphasis on the premium soft flooring market coupled with ongoing consumer and retailer education,” said Gardner. We have a great story supporting Just Shorn which resonates well with consumers – from the outset it was our goal to create a natural, beautiful, sustainable product that gives back to our CP Wool clients,” he said. The New Zealand Just Shorn launch range includes six styles with up to seven colour choices. The styles all carry iconic New Zealand names and are 100 per cent New Zealand wool procured from CP Wool clients.
