Elders Primary Wool, a New Zealand wool company, says sales of its Just Shorn carpet range are continuing to build in the United States.

The company, a joint venture between Elders Rural Holdings and the Primary Wool Co-operative, started selling New Zealand brand carpets in the United States about three years ago, through the world’s largest carpet retailer, CCA Global Partners.

Chairman Stu Chapman, who’s just returned from a visit there with other wool representatives, says the American flooring market is picking up and that means demand for wool carpets is also lifting.

Just Shorn carpets will be introduced in Australia next month.
